 With the weather warm and sunny, the fast young folks stopped after
finishing the half marathon race.  The result was the slowest winning
time ever for the marathon.  It is to be noted that 29-year old Paul
Kranenburg was the first finisher in the marathon with 4:36:01, but he
did not run the course in the prescribed manner.  The course consists of
2 identical out and backs with a midway aid station, which was the turn
around for the 10K race.  Paul followed the lead 10K runner back to the
finish, but proclaimed that he was running the marathon, so went back
out to do his own thing, covering the correct distance, but not in the
proper way.
