Welcome to the Rucky Chucky Roundabout 50K/50K Relay,

Thank you for your participation in the 2010 Rucky Chucky Roundabout 50K/50K Relay. 
Listed below is information needed to participate. Foresthill is located 17 miles 
East of Auburn via Interstate 80. Take Foresthill Road Exit and drive for 17 miles 
to Foresthill. Drive through the town until you reach the Foresthill Elementary 
School (located on the right). Main Street parallel's Foresthill Road through town. 
It is recommended that you park on Main Street as there is limited parking at the 
school. Please obey all street signs regarding parking

It is highly recommended to carry 2 bottles(1 bottle required). There will be a 
8.7 mile section on the downhill(from Foresthill to Cal 2 and return trip) 
between aid stations.  

The course follows the Western States 100 trail downhill from Foresthill to Ruck 
a Chuck (the turnaround and relay exchange point) and then back uphill to the 
Foresthill Elementary School. A Post Race meal will be awaiting all runners. It 
will consist of Pasta, Veggie Chili, Soup, Salad, Vegetable, 
Rolls, and Dessert.

50 Kilometer Relay: The relay runner will need to coordinate transportation to 
Ruck a Chuck (the turnaround and exchange point). Relay runners may be able to 
commute with other relay runners from the start. 

To get to Ruck a Chuck, take Foresthill Road to Drivers Flat Road (9 miles West 
of the start and 8 miles East from Auburn) downhill 3 miles to the American River. 
The road is single lane narrow and winding dirt road. About ½ a mile down the road 
it splits at a clearing, take the left fork (which turns sharply to the left.) 
Use caution when traveling down this road and obey posted signs for parking.

Race Cutoffs: 4 hrs(12:00pm) at Ruck a Chuck(turnaround). 9 hours overall.

Pacers: Not allowed.  

Crews:  The only place to crew is at Ruck a Chuck (the turnaround). 
Crewing is strongly discouraged as there is limited parking at Ruck a Chuck and 
the road a single lane narrow and winding dirt road.

Aid stations will be stocked with HEED, water, Coke, chips, pretzels, cookies, potatoes, 
bananas, Hammer Gels, Endruolytes, Bars, peanuts, M & M's, hard candy, 
and much more.

Directions: 

From Sacramento: Take Interstate 80 East to Auburn. Exit at Foresthill 
Road and continue for 17 miles.

From Reno: Take Interstate 80 West to Auburn. Exit at Foresthill 
Road and continue for 17 miles.
