2010 Hotter than Hell 12/6 Hour Race & 10K Information

Location and Time:
Saturday - August 14, 2010

Gates Open:  7:00 am
Runner Orientation:  7:25 am
12/6 Hr Races Starts:  7:30 am


10K Runner Orientation:  8:25 am
10 K Race Starts:  8:30 am

General Info:
Thank you for your interest in the 2010 Hotter than Hell 12/6 Hour & 10K.
Cameron Park Lake is located 25 miles East of Sacramento via Hwy 50.
Exit Hwy 50 at the Cambridge Rd.
Go to the stop sign and turn left, travel approximately 2 miles.
Cameron Park Lake is on your right at 2989 Cambridge Road.
Park your car in the provided area.
No Entrance pass is needed for 12/6 Hr runners.

Cameron Park Lake is a water holding facility for the local area.
The trail around the lake is 1.25 miles in length.
Run as many laps as you can in 12 or 6 hrs. Only complete laps will count.
Examples of some distances and laps needed:
50 laps completes the 100K.
40 laps completes 50 miles.

5 laps completes the 10K All runners will run clockwise with your race number on your right hip.

Course Elevation: 1242 feet.
Pacers
Pacers and family may run with a runner after 30 miles.
Race day cutoff is 12 hours.
Aid Stations:
Provided every 1.25 miles, well stocked with HEED, water, Coke, chips, cookies, potatoes, Hammergel, E-caps, fruit, Bars, candy, soup, P&J's. Restrooms and showers are located 25 feet from the trail.
Lap counting:
Will be provided by race management.
We will be using a manual system. If at any time you question your total mileage, please contact Robert or Linda Mathis, we will research it and make a decision.

We will be testing our ChampionChip timing system. Runners will be given chips to wear on thier ankle.
Post Race Activities:
The Hotter than Hell will have a Post Race BBQ Buffet after the event. It will consist of Hamburgers(& Veggie Burgers), Hot Dogs, soup, Pasta Salad, green salad, dessert, and more.
Directions from Sacramento:
Take Hwy 50 East and exit at Cambridge Road.
Directions from Lake Tahoe:
Take Hwy 50 West and exit at Cambridge Road.
Directions from Reno/Auburn:
Take Hwy 80 West bound and exit at Sierra College Blvd.
Cross over the highway and travel on the blvd until it turns into Hazel Ave.
Continue on Hazel Ave until you run into Hwy 50. Take Hwy 50 east.

Camping:
KOA Kampground 916-676-2267 Shingle Springs Exit Hwy 50 8 miles east of Cameron Park.
Food:
Denny´s, McDonalds, Taco Bell.
Stores:
