11th and the last race in the 2008 Ultrarunner.net Race Series
First time ultrarunners of all abilities are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Showers, post-run awards ceremony and a Traditional Thanksgiving meal for all runners starting at noon.
We look forward to seeing you on Race Day!
Upon receipt of your entry form, a packet containing course description, mileage chart, crew instructions, hotels, etc will be mailed to you.

Course Description: |
Starts and finishes at Cavitt Jr. High School.
The race is along a scenic 25 mile section of the bike trail adjacent to the American River. The course has a total elevation change of 350' for the 50-Mile race.
Course is certified and sanctioned by USATF. |
Time Limit: |
50 Mile cutoff is 12 hours and 50K cutoff is 10 hours and 30K cutoff is 9 hours. |
Aid Stations: |
19 fully staffed and stocked aid stations will be set up on the course. Cutoff times are for the safety of all runners.
Aid station captains have the authority to pull any runner for failure to make reasonable progress. |
Awards: |
Quality awards to overall male and female and age divisions: 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
T-shirts to all 50K entrants and sweatshirts to all 50 Mile entrants. |
Registration and Runner Check-In: |
3:00 - 7:00pm Friday, October 31 in the school gymnasium or
5:30am race morning, in the school gymnasium. |
Crew and Pacers: |
Crews are welcome at all crew accessible aid stations. Internal pacing of any kind is forbidden by USATF rules. No smoking or pets are allowed at the aid stations or along the course or at Cavitt School. |
Additional Information: |
USATF Member is not mandatory to enter this event. The Helen Klein 50 Mile run is a championship event in the Pacifice Association Ultra Grand Prix Series.
In order to qualify for the Grand Prix awards and points, you must be a Pacific Association member and resident.

Drop Bags: |
Drop bags may be left at the Cavitt School and Sunrise aid stations.
A flashlight and jacket left at Sunrise is recommended for runners expecting to run between 11 and 12 hours. |
