The KISS 50/100 Mile Run is a no-budget production of the Finger Lakes Runners
Club, put on to give seasoned trailrunners a different experience from the
large, organized affairs. KISS runs have no entry fee, no aid except water at
the start/finish, and no cutoff times.

This year's run had 9 entrants, all of whom got their money's worth doing 15/30
repeats of a remarkably scenic 3.34 mile loop in the Finger Lakes National
Forest, midway between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes in upstate New York. The amazing
Monica Scholtz left everyone else far behind in the 100 miler, and her 50 mile
split of 9:33:58 would have won that race as well. Doug Dziedzic won the prize
for total calories expended, biking 60 miles from his home to get to the race,
running 100 miles, and then biking another 60 miles to return home.
