| Course Description: | starting at the base of Stone Mountain, ascending the mountain to gaze across the city and if view your destination approximately 50 mi. away - the summit of Kennesaw Mountain. You will traverse some of Atlanta's finest neighborhoods with sidewalks available for the runners at their discretion most of the way. New this year will be 7.5 miles on the Silver Comet Rails to Trails. You will run the full length of Kennesaw park crossing, Cheatham Hill , little Kennesaw Mountain, and Kennesaw Mountain, descend the mountain by way of the park road to finish at the mountain road gate. |
