Temperature range of 72-92 degrees, comforting winds.

New course this year at Prime Health parking lot in Wauwatosa, WI. Couse
was shaped like two Vs, one inside the other. No hills but some slight
rises. Most runners were forced to concentrate on the course markings
every three hours as the direction of the running was changed. Nearby
hotels and food establishments made for runner's convenience and
temptations.

Participants, volunteers and spectators (just a few) got a real treat by
watching some talented veterans deal with the day. While 24 hour runs
attract a wide variety of ages, this run must be noted for superior
performances by the 50 and over crowd. No doubt the race director will be
very busy filing national age group record changes!

On more of a personal note-
I was in absolute awe of the experiences amassed by this group of runners.
Like a kid in a candy store, I soaked up the stories, history, strategies
that these runners freely shared. Sharing miles with them freed my mind
from my own situation. With their support, companionship, and demanding
pace, I returned to the the world of 24 hour runs.

Glad to have such friends,
Bonnie Busch
